The memory of the Strawberry Passionfruit Smoothie that I had drunk courtesy of the Yelp Event several weeks ago was etched in memory. I longed to have it again. This location of Carrot Express is on 23rd Street smack in the Flatiron area. Yesterday the day was scorching and after the gym I came here to have the very same smoothie. It was nicely air conditioned inside. I sat to have the drink to enjoy every last sip. As I drank I slurped every drop as I wanted not only to enjoy but to get my money's worth as this is $10.88 (tax included). The staff were pleasant and kind. The interior is large and bright. Next time I want to have the Almond Joy which I have been told is delish.

Top notch health QSR with great flavors all around. A little on the pricy side but good for pickup. Mario's bowl and chicken Caesar wrap are standouts.

Came in on a Friday evening. It was quiet at that hour, but that was fine with me, as I didn't have to deal with the rush hour crowd. The venue is spacious and has plenty of tables and booths for seating. The guy working behind the counter was quite friendly. I got a Choco Dream smoothie and the Poké bowl with salmon+tuna as my protein and brown rice as my base (the alternative was quinoa, but he recommended the rice).

Have has this spot on my list & was in the area so decided to stop in for lunchtime. I ordered the Liv Wrap and the Oriental Crunch Salad. Here are my thoughts: - The Liv Wrap: Gluten Free eaters, wraps can be made with a gluten free wrap. Yay! Please note there is an additional $2.50 charge for the gluten free wrap. C'est la vie! I also opted out of the cheese that is included in the wrap & the staff were accommodating to remove. Good combination of quinoa, chicken, and kale. Definitely filing. - The Oriental Crunch Salad was ordered with chicken. Please note that adding chicken is an additional $9.95 to the price of the salad. All the ingredients included in this salad tasted very fresh. The honey lime peanut vinaigrette is a great compliment. Very light and refreshing. The inside is clean and the staff is friendly and answer any questions. Combination of sit in diners and people taking their orders to go. It was a bit pricey in my opinion even with my particular eating habits.

04/24/23: Trying to be healthy and I search of a filling salad. I think I found it. Passed by a few times on the way home and decided to finally step in. Very clean, brightly lit and pleasant staff. Decided on LA MEXICANA romaine, roasted corn, black beans, jack cheese, tortilla strips, avocado, cilantro & tomato. tossed with our honey-lime vinaigrette. Yuuuum, very filling. Definitely will return when in the mood for a salad.

I love acai bowls & healthy meals. This was the spot to have a healthy lunch. We shared a salmon wrap and paradise acai bowl. Everything was delicious and made to order. The salmon wrap was pretty hot & took awhile to cook down. I enjoyed drizzling the green aioli sauce.

On the one hand, Carrot Express feels like a sterilized salad chain with no personality and simplistic branding. They still have a vaguely Asian salad named "Oriental Crunch" on their menu, for goodness sake. But my perennially healthy heart loves their huge menu of smoothies, power shots, juices, and enormous salads. The salads do run over $20 once you add a protein to them, but the portions are really enormous and the ingredients are quite fresh. I like coming here on days I go hard at the gym and will treat myself to a generous portion of sesame crusted tuna, salmon, or mahi mahi over a bed of greens. The green goddess salad is my favorite-- with arugula, spinach, kale, avocado, cucumber, and toasted pumpkin seeds with miso ginger vinaigrette and a huge piece of roasted salmon. You can still get a better salad at say, sweetgreen, but if you're wanting to change up your lunch spot this is a pretty solid option. Their juices and power shots are fresh and the ambience inside is a step above your average salad chain. Their signature carrot cake was way too sweet for my tastes, but good for anyone with a sweet tooth wanting to balance out their healthy meal with something more indulgent.

Such a delicious and healthy meal! I am so happy they finally opened up one in NYC! Now we have a Florida favorite in NY. Your restaurant is proof that nutritious food can be delicious! Here's what we ordered: ~ Poke bowl with brown rice, salmon, Seaweed salad, edamame, arugula, cucumber, scallions, avocado, carrots, pickled ginger, sesame seeds, crispy onion, spicy Mayo and eel sauce. My partner absolutely loved this bowl. It was so fresh and had so many different textures. ~Turkey burger with a side of Caesar salad. The bun on the burger was really good and honestly I could have eaten that Caesar salad for days!!! It was awesome: ~Almond butter acai bowl- organic Brazilian acai topped with almond butter, cacao nibs, granola, strawberries, bananas, pineapple and we asked for no blueberries. This bowl was so fresh and delicious!! Would definitely get this again! ~California eggwich- toasted sesame bagel, 2 cage free folded eggs, smashed avocado, arugula, tomato, lime juice, feta, and olive oil. A really solid sandwich and the lime juice on it was so refreshing! Totally recommend Carrot Express for some delicious healthy eats including salads, juices/smoothies, acai bowls, sandwiches, platters, and baked goods!
